Advanced Learning Technologies: Media and the culture of learning

The Second IEEE International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies (ICALT 2002) was held in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia during September 9-12, 2002. It was a very interestting event that brought together researchers, academics and industry practitioners who are involved or interested in the design and development of advanced and emerging learning technologies.

The conference attracted 127 participants from different parts of the world. With 109 papers published in the proceedings, the conference provided a high quality medium for exchange of ideas. The feedback from the paricipants has been quite positive towards the quality of papers and organisation.
