The International Workshop on Advanced Learning Technologies (IWALT 2000) took place very successfully by bringing together researchers, academics and industry practitioners who are involved or interested in the design and development of advanced and emerging learning technologies.

About 130 participants from 20 countries from all continents of the world attended the event. The feedback from the paricipants has been quite positive towards the quality of papers and organisation.
